SUCCESSFUL YEAR OF AWARDS FOR BENTLEY
THE NEW CONTINENTAL GT RAKES IN THE AWARDS
Revealed at the IAA Frankfurt, the Bentley Continental GT has earned four global awards such as 'GT of the Year', 'Best Luxury Auto' and 'Best Gran Turismo Sports Car'. 'Top Gear', the BBC's famous auto-enthusiast TV show and magazine, awarded the car 'GT of the Year', complimenting its performance when "thread[ing] the tricky bits". Additionally, stated that it is "simply one of the most complete GT cars on the planet".
Another publication, the Interior Design Magazine, bestowed their award of best 'Automotive Overall Design', during their 'Best of the Year' awards.
Robb Report Germany also gave the Continental GT an award for 'Best Gran Turismo Sports Car', alongside China's Target, who titled the car 'Best Luxury Auto'.
THE BENTAYGA CONTINUES ITS WINNING STREAK
After being unveiled two years prior, the Bentley Bentayga continues to impress automobile officials by still collecting rewards. During 2017, it received seven awards making it the most-awarded car from Bentley for the year.
Robert Ross, editor for Robb Report, said that "If the best way to fly is 'private', Bentayga is general aviation's four-wheeled equivalent. There is no getting around the fact that Bentley's Bentayga was the run-away winner." A comment made after the SUV received the publication's award for 'SUV of the Year'.
Furthermore, the Bentayga Diesel received the highly sought-after 'Star Award', from Autocar magazine, with Chief-tester Matt Saunders stating: "This car rises head and shoulders above any other in fulfilling the role of the consummate, complete, luxury SUV. And in five years, when there may be rivals... we won't be surprised if it still does."
The Middle East Car of the Year awards, hosted by Wheels Middle East awarded the car 'Luxury SUV of the Year' and 'Best Large Premium SUV'.
MULSANNE WINS AWARDS AND A 'GREAT PLACE TO WORK'
The Mulsanne, the flagship car from Bentley, also claimed awards in 2017 winning four including GQ's 'Best Autonomous Car' award. GQ recognised the Mulsanne's extended wheelbase model stating that: "The stretched rear cabin of the already vast Mulsanne is the single best way to travel in a car without driving - one of the few cars with the largesse and scale to truly call itself a flagship."
Bentley also received Walpole's 'Luxury Maker of the Year,' as well as an award for being a 'Top Employer', an award granted by the Top Employers' Institute. Plus, the Bentley apprentice programme had also been given four accolades, with three coming from the School Leaver's Awards.
